Cameroon’s Ministry of Tourism at WTM

During World Travel Market 2012, I was lucky to be invited to attend a press conference arranged by Wonder* Communications on behalf of Cameroon’s Ministry of Tourism.

Now, not only was this an intimate way to meet people that are equally interested in the country, but it was a fantastic learning experience about an up and coming destination that is working hard to gain our support. There’s no better way to learn than from the people that know the land, and are well placed to share their passion with new-comers like myself.

With a group of around 60 attendees and a well-run question and answer session, there was plenty of opportunity to identify the potential for the country and hear first-hand about the challenges that the country in West Central Africa is working hard to overcome. Preparation for World Travel Market #WTM2012

In a few days, World Travel Market will be taking place, the world’s biggest travel event that attracts bloggers, tourist information boards, travel agencies, airlines and hoteliers to name a few. It’s a huge attraction for the travel industry and it’s here, in London. In preparation for my first trip to the event, I’ve been upping my organisation and maximising my communication to learn as much as I can; my expectations are high and I’m keen for them to be met.
