Recently, I was invited to share my travel tip for Amsterdam with KLM to form part of a ‘Bloggers Guide to Amsterdam for Vintage Lovers’.

During 2013 and early 2014, I was fortunate to be involved in the planning and eventual testing of a prototype of the latest addition to the GATE8 luggage range, the Cabin Max lightweight carry-on hand luggage.
GATE8 self-identifies as a company founded by a British IT consultant that got tired of wasting time in airport queues and spending money on excess baggage fees on business trips. He set about designing a solution that met the hand baggage requirements of all airlines, accommodated crease-free garment storage and stored laptops safely and conveniently. As the new year approaches, I chose to reflect on 2013 and my year in travel. It’s certainly been my busiest yet, from New York to Brazil, Lisbon to Jamaica, my trips have been as varied and spontaneous as ever to fit into an ever-busy schedule.
2013 started with a new year break to Paris, seeing the sights of the city accompanied by a stay at Oceania Paris Porte de Versailles. Shortly afterwards, a city break to Berlin was enjoyed by my partner and I courtesy of Expedia. We experienced bitterly cold temperatures and contrasting experiences from Sachsenhausen concentration camp to a street art tour with fantastic accommodation provided by Eurostars Hotel.
