In 2015, I finally made it to Ethiopia and specifically travelled around the northern cities as I sunk my teeth into every aspect of the culture, people, food and more. Continue reading Top tips for visiting northern Ethiopia
Earlier this year I took a two week solo trip to Australia – a long distance getaway to explore a few sites without breaking the bank. I spent a week in Sydney and participated in two tours with Zepher Tours to Hunter Valley and the Blue Mountains as well as taking some time to explore attractions around the city with friends both old and new. Here are a few of my highlights and top five things to do in Sydney.

The city is also a major gateway to the Alps, ideal for outdoor enthusiasts all year round. Continue reading Five reasons to visit Geneva, Switzerland
I was fortunate to have my first visit to the Big Apple earlier this year with the joint fortune of it being my first solo trip! My accommodation was in Clinton Hill, so I enjoyed exploring the city and seeing so much in my limited time there. With just two days to explore, I maximised my exploration of Brooklyn with a promise to see the rest on a return visit.
Brooklyn in particular is somewhere that I was excited to see; it’s best described as easygoing, diverse and artistic without being over the top. Continue reading Five reasons to visit Brooklyn, New York

Travel during the holidays is never cheap, but it is still possible to getaway and stay in comfort for less. Continue reading Tips for sourcing last-minute accommodation
I’m not generally a superstitious person but 2013 is shaping up to be a year of learning. As the saying goes, bad things usually happen in threes. With that, I should have well and truly paid my karma dues and be on to some safe and happy travels for the remainder of the year.
Since February 2013, I’ve had not one, not two but three cases of travel misfortune! As somebody that has travelled reasonably trouble-free for over ten years, such poor luck has been an eye-opener both educationally and (most painfully) financially. During my time there I explored so many places, from the concentration camp at Sachsenhausen to the restaurant and shopping district around Mitte, to bars and entertainment and alternative nightlife at the Liquidrom. It was an insightful, fun-filled experience and one that filled me with memories to last a lifetime. Continue reading It’s a wrap! Travel tips for Berlin, Germany #byExpedia
