Massage Therapy at Thai Kosai, London

I’ve taken a little hiatus from travel in the past few months whilst enjoying the city of London and refocusing on a particularly busy period at home and work. With this in mind, I was happy to have a chance to experience a Thai massage at a new Central London parlour, Thai Kosai, just ahead of the Christmas break. Kick-starting #2013Body workout at The Chelsea Club, London

imageOn a dull and rainy Sunday afternoon in London, my boyfriend and I headed for The Chelsea Club at Stamford Bridge in South West London. Having cancelled our gym membership in 2012, we wanted to take full advantage of a complimentary day pass and lunch that we had previously obtained, particularly with 2013 bringing a host of travel plans and a desired shake-up of our routine.

In general we both love to use the gym and regularly try new forms of exercise like Qigong, as well as maintaining and improving our diets with recipes and foods that we have tried from around the world. With this in mind, it made sense that we would be keen to try a gym that is regarded as one of the finest in London offering first class facilities and equipment.

Upon entering the club, we were warmly greeted by the receptionist, who handled our enquiry and led us through to the club. Here, we entered the swanky changing rooms (where sadly, no photos are allowed) to lock away our belongings before heading straight to the gym on the top floor of the club. Spirit House, Koh Samui, Thailand

Fresh coconut water – delicious!

During a recent stay in Koh Samui we had the pleasure of visiting Spirit House by Chaweng Beach. Set in beautiful surroundings, this restaurant, spa and cookery school creates the perfectly idyllic experience of Thailand. We were recommended to try the restaurant by a local as we were searching for a romantic dinner setting and a memorable experience for our holiday. We were so impressed with the venue that not only did we dine there, we also booked into the spa a couple of days later and followed this up by taking part in the 1-2-1 cookery school.

On each occasion the staff were welcoming, friendly and so keen to ensure that we had a good experience which is indicative of the Thai attitude. So, I thought that I would use this post to summarise my love for all three aspects of Spirit House that we were able to enjoy. Continue reading Spirit House, Koh Samui, Thailand

Movenpick Resort Taba, Egypt

Movenpick Resort, TabaI spent one week at the Movenpick Resort in Taba, Egypt as part of a winter sun getaway.

Upon arrival at the resort, my friend and I were greeted and had our luggage taken aside whilst we checked in at reception. We were then escorted to our room with a member of staff helping us with our bags.

After checking our room and ensuring that we were comfortable with switches for the air conditioning and other functions, we were happy to offer a tip for what was already proving to be a good experience. We were booked into a Standard twin room which offered two comfortable double beds, balcony and full sized bathroom with complimentary toiletries. Continue reading Movenpick Resort Taba, Egypt
