To celebrate the new Paddington Film which started showing in UK cinemas at the end of November 2014, a total of 50 Paddington Bear statues have been unveiled in London as a fun-filled way to work your way through the streets of London.
If you’re visiting the capital city then it’s an ideal way to make sightseeing just a little more fun!
Each bear has been designed by celebrities like Boris Johnson “The Bear of London”, David Beckham “Golden Paws”, and Bear Grylls “Chief Scout Bear” with a British theme which adds a nice touch of creativity to the project. View all 50 bears here.
So far, I’ve managed to see a couple of them myself. Check out my selfie below with The Mayor of Paddington at Canalside Plaza, Paddington. 🙂
There’s even an official Paddington Bear trail for you to plan ahead of your visit and plan your route to maximise visibility of the Bears. You’ll be able to find the bears in a range of locations, from airports to 10 Downing Street and of course, Paddington train station where the Paddington Bear story first began.
If you’re visiting London then be sure to go on a bear hunt – it’d be great to know just how many bears you spotted in the city but you’ll have to catch them before the 30th December 2014.
