This weekend marks the final bank holiday of 2013, a long weekend and the chance to have a guilt-free lie-in on Monday morning.
I’m usually the first person to book a trip away for a bank holiday, typically planned months in advance to get the best price and travel options to suit me. This long weekend is a little different as I’ve decided to spend it in my home city, London.
In case you missed it, the London Evening Standard listed the 25 things to do in London this weekend. From festivals to clubbing and theatre to comedy there’s something for everyone.
Personally, it’s already set to be a busy one as I’ll be taking advantage of the weather (that’s predicted to be warm) and heading out into Kensington and Chelsea to soak up the atmosphere for the annual Notting Hill Carnival. I can’t wait to make the most of the long weekend and enjoying the diversity that really shines through at such an event, especially after experiencing the fun of Rio Carnival earlier this year.
Not only this but I also plan to visit the Beaufort Hotel in Knightsbridge to sample their cream tea – I’m excited to be checking out this hotel that has some rave reviews online, as well as catching up with friends and family in the city.
What are your plans for the bank holiday? Staying at home, travelling abroad?
