Movenpick Resort Taba, Egypt

Movenpick Resort, TabaI spent one week at the Movenpick Resort in Taba, Egypt as part of a winter sun getaway.

Upon arrival at the resort, my friend and I were greeted and had our luggage taken aside whilst we checked in at reception. We were then escorted to our room with a member of staff helping us with our bags.

After checking our room and ensuring that we were comfortable with switches for the air conditioning and other functions, we were happy to offer a tip for what was already proving to be a good experience. We were booked into a Standard twin room which offered two comfortable double beds, balcony and full sized bathroom with complimentary toiletries.

With this break being intended as a stress-relieving break, we made the most of our time at the resort spending time in each of the two outdoor pools that the hotel offered, as well as making the most of the private 400m beach.

Despite it being November, the resort was fairly busy yet we were always able to find a sun lounger or a space to relax.

As the hotel is fairly remote, there are shops on the premises which sell savoury snacks, drinks and souvenirs, as well as a bar where the bar-man is more than happy to make any cocktails that are not on the standard menu šŸ™‚

For excursions, there is the option of booking through the hotel or specifically with the tour operator which we chose to do to maximise our time during the week and ensure a balance of fun and relaxation. My recommendations would include a trip to the Sinai Mountains for quad biking, a visit to visit Bedouin tents or maybe an evening of shopping in Dahab – be prepared for the haggling that will ensue.
